About this event:
Over the past thirty years, the Chilean Agricultural Policy has been developed in an environment of open and active negotiation of free trade and economic cooperation agreements. Currently, it is aimed at strengthening the institutional capacities export-oriented development and the reduction of inequality in the sector, promoting the development of small and medium agriculture through value addition in agricultural and forestry activity.
The panelists will reflect on future challenges for countries in the Americas on issues such as agricultural policy and food security, productivity, natural resource management, climate change, social impacts (feminization, youth and urban-rural migration), agricultural trade, and comprehensive risk management.
