Companions’ Program

The Mexican authorities have organized a Companions’ Program for Wednesday and Thursday, 21 and 22 October. The following places will be visited: Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Cozumel.

Playa del Carmen is the municipal capital of Solidaridad, Quintana Roo and is located within the tourist area of Riviera Maya. Shopping can be done on the famous Fifth Avenue.

The Tulum archeological site dates back some 900 years and is surrounded by an enormous wall on the three sides closest to land. It is one of the cities that best represent the Riviera Maya, with 50 buildings devoted to worship, government and residence.

Cozumel Island, with a surface area of 48 x 16 kilometers, is the third largest island in Mexico, and is located some 20km off the eastern coast of Quintana Roo.
