Women in agricultural development: the challenging task of coordinating multilateral collaboration
Women are the world’s food producers, making up 43% of the global agriculture labor force. Women tend dairy cows, conserve indigenous seeds, grow gardens for schools, harvest coffee, and carry out many other –frequently unpaid- tasks. Yet, often times their hard work is taken for granted when we enjoy our meals. It is important to invest in women farmers and make sure that they have the same access to resources - including knowledge and technologies – as men.
