The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture participated in a national cluster workshop organized by the Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) through its EXPORT Belize Unit and with funding support from Compete Caribbean with whom they are implementing a project entitled “Building Institutional Capacity for Strengthening Business Clusters”. The objective of the workshop was to provide the participants with an insight into Compete Caribbean initiatives by encouraging collaborative actions to improve the competitiveness of a sector or industry as well as to promote cross-sectoral linkages.   Providing a framework to facilitate business clusters in Belize, consolidate the mapping of Business Support Organizations (BSO), identify and assess potential or existing clusters and leverage resources of other BSO’s for cluster promotion.
