Inauguration ceremony of school cafeteria and garden

November 17, 2017, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture attends the inauguration ceremony of school cafeteria and garden for the Santa Elena R.C primary school in the Toledo District.  This falls under the project “Improve food and nutrition security and encourage healthy eating habits in Belize through strengthening of school feeding program” and “Mesoamerica without hunger”, an initiative where Mexico is providing financial support through the Mexican Agency for the International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) with technical support coming from the Food & Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO).  Present for the ceremony were stakeholders from the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Education, FAO lead technical officer, AMEXCID, IICA and other invited guests.
