On October 25 2017, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture presented the concept of export platform to stakeholders from BELTRAIDE, the Belize Chamber of Commerce, and the Embassy of Panama.  The general objective of the export platform is to diversify and increase the number of exporters and value of agri-food exports to a specific market.  This will be accomplished in three stages; training, market validation and in situ market.  With emphasis in preparing at least 15 agri-food firms without prior export experience or that are not regularly exporting to the selected market, and to participate in the 2018 Expocomer to be held in Panama.
