The Caribbean Climate Smart Agriculture (CCSA) Forum has been active since 2015 in bringing together actors from agriculture and related sectors to learn about and exchange information on agriculture and climate change in the Caribbean.  The CCSA Forum has sought to raise awareness of the most pressing challenges related to climate change in the sector, highlight potential solutions and supporting institutional frameworks, and enhance coordination among actors, through webinars that permit regional exchange and subsequent national discussions that allow for the actors to relate the information presented to their national context.  The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture conducted the 4th Caribbean Climate Smart Agriculture Forum with stakeholders from different institutions to determine priority actions that need to be taken and to develop general concepts for projects that will address these needs and that can be socialized to potential donors to allow for implementation.   The objective of the forum was:

To review the status, trends, and actions related to agriculture and climate change in Belize.

To develop a concept for a project proposal to address a key challenge linked to climate change in the agricultural sector.
