Within the project for the development of institutional capacities on approaches, and participatory strategies for optimal inclusion of young people in agriculture and developing the territories in Dominican Republic, IICA have carried out final activities for meeting the objectives.

 

Within the project for the development of institutional capacities on approaches, and participatory strategies for optimal inclusion of young people in agriculture and developing the territories in Dominican Republic, IICA have carried out final activities for meeting the objectives.

Surrounding these activities, they workshop with agricultural sector institutions such as the extension department of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Foundation for the Development of Rural Youth (FUNDEJUR) to raise awareness of young people from rural areas and from this developed, form a support network for young people.

Moreover, young people in the project have been receiving workshops and monitoring profiling project to carry out by themselves and subsequently be presented to the already formalized inter-agency network, within its possibilities, they will be given them support in the required fields and they will be accompanying young people both in the preparation of a formal project proposal as necessary for their implementation.

En distintos territorios de América Latina y el Caribe, productores, técnicos e instituciones son parte de un esfuerzo articulado para construir una agenda regional de sostenibilidad de la lechería; un proyecto impulsado por el Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA), CAF-Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe, la Federación Panamericana de Lechería (FEPALE) y el Consorcio Lechero de Chile.
