This year, IICA presented the First Place Award to Duhaje Jennings, a bee farmer in St. James. Second Place Awards were presented to Griffin Gray, vegetable farmer in Trelawny, and Orville McFarlane, a hot pepper farmer in Hanover.

All three farmers impressed the judges with their entrepreneurial spirit for making considerable investments in the sector and willingness to adopt best practices. The awards were presented on the Youth Day of the Denbigh Show. The office will continue to commemorate IICA’s 40 years of service to the country through presentations to and dialogue with various stakeholders.
