Both artists previously paid tribute to stakeholders of the agrifood chain with the song “Me gusta”, which was included in the concert of Argentinian musicians launched by IICA in early May.

Ana Prada cuenta con una destacada carrera como solista, mientras que Pata Kramer es una reconocida cantautora, feminista, política y productora montevideana. Juntas reeditaron el dúo Kramer vs. Prada en 2016.

San Jose, 1 June 2020 (IICA). The Uruguayan music duo made up of Ana Prada and Pata Kramer is paying tribute, once again, to farmers and food chain workers, whose daily efforts are ensuring the production, transportation, marketing and supply of food in the Americas during the Covid-19 pandemic.

On this occasion, the artists have contributed the song “Y qué más”, which is representative of popular music from Río de la Plata and was written by Ana Prada and Argentinean Teresa Parodi.

A native of Paysandú, Uruguay, Ana Prada has had an outstanding solo career, which has earned her nominations for numerous awards, including the Gardel and Graffiti awards in Argentina and Uruguay, respectively. She has collaborated with Jorge Drexler, León Gieco, Teresa Parodi, Liliana Herrero, Lisandro Aristimuño, Kevin Johansen and El Cuarteto de Nos, among other artists.

Pata Kramer is a renowned singer-songwriter, feminist, politician and producer from Montevideo with an extensive career in the music industry. In 2016, the two artists revived their duo Kramer vs. Prada (which they had created in 2000) and presented a show called “Canciones yeguas” all over Uruguay.

Prada and Kramer previously paid tribute to agrifood chain workers with the song “Me gusta”, which was included in the concert of Argentinian musicians launched by IICA in early May.
