Agricultural engineer, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Minister of Environment of Ecuador, with more than 25 years’ experience in the field of sustainability. He has enjoyed a successful career working for agricultural and socio-environmental enterprises, and served as a consultant for more than 2000 environmental projects. He is one of the founders of the Latinomérica Verde awards.

American climatologist and agronomist, senior researcher and head of the Climate Impacts group at NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies. She was awarded the World Food Prize in 2022.

Professor of Economics and Technological Change at the Centre for Development Research (ZEF) of the University of Bonn, Germany. He is President of the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences, and a member of the National Academy of Sciences Lepoldina, the German Academy of Engineering, the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Arts and Sciences, the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and the African Academy of Sciences (AAS). From 2020 to 2021, he was Chair of the Scientific Group convened by the Secretary-General of the United Nations for the Food Systems Summit.

In recognition of his contributions to the region’s development through multilateralism, cooperation and Ibero-American integration.

Iglesias, who is of Spanish-Uruguayan nationality, served as Ibero-American Secretary-General and Minister of Foreign Relations of Uruguay. He also served as Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and held other important offices in the Americas and Europe.

In recognition of her contribution to the development of innovative livestock farming and environmental preservation.

A livestock businesswoman and philanthropist, Llorens is committed to the conservation and protection of biodiversity. She is the Director of the Zoological and Botanical Gardens of Asunción, Paraguay, and President of the Maris Llorens Foundation. She holds a number of positions in other organizations of the livestock and meat sector.
