The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) is committed to respecting third-party personal data protection rights, for which it has in place a Policy framed in international standards and complemented with the regulatory guidelines contained in IICA’s Procedural Manual on Personal Data Protection (PMPDP).

Exercising your rights

The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) makes this space available to the owner of personal data to exercise their rights, such as access queries, rectification of data, opposition and not being subject to individualized decisions, deletion, limitation of processing of your data or request for portability

Request to exercise your rights

All rights must be exercised before the Data Controller (IICA), who is the one who has the data. The procedure is personal but may also be carried out through legal representation, in which case, in addition to the identity document of the interested party or another document proving identity, an identity document or other document proving the representative and the authentic document proving identity must be provided. the representation of the third party. Right of access

Allows the interested party or data subject to obtain information about whether their personal data is being processed by IICA.

Right of rectification

Right of erasure

Allows the interested party or data subject to request the removal of their personal data from IICA’s databases.

Right of restriction

Allows the interested party or data subject to restrict the treatment of personal data by IICA in certain circumstances.

Right of objection

Allows the interested party or data subject to object to the processing of their personal data.

Right of portability

Allows the interested party or data subject to receive the personal data they provided to IICA in an electronic format and send it to another data processor in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. Excludes data in physical format.

Right to withdraw

Enables the data subject to withdraw consent granted to IICA, which must therefore discontinue processing of his/her personal data.
