Exercising your rights

The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) makes this space available to data subjects to exercise your rights of access, rectification, objection to being subject to individualized decisions, erasure, restriction of processing or portability.

Request to exercise your rights

Allows the interested party or data subject to obtain information about whether their personal data is being processed by IICA.

Allows the interested party or data subject to request the correction of personal data when deemed inaccurate or incomplete.

Allows the interested party or data subject to request the removal of their personal data from IICA’s databases.

Allows the interested party or data subject to restrict the treatment of personal data by IICA in certain circumstances.

Allows the interested party or data subject to object to the processing of their personal data.

Allows the interested party or data subject to receive the personal data they provided to IICA in an electronic format and send it to another data processor in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. Excludes data in physical format.

Enables the data subject to withdraw consent granted to IICA, which must therefore discontinue processing of his/her personal data.

All rights must be exercised before the Data Processor (IICA) who has possession of the data. The request is personal in nature but may also be exercised through a legal representative, in which case, in addition to the interested party’s ID or other proof of identity, the legal representative’s ID or proof or identity and proof of representation must be submitted. IICA will respond to the request within one calendar month or two months for more complex cases.
