IICA participates in Market Information Organization of the Americas workshop database training

On September 28 & 29 2017, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) through the Ministry of Agriculture, carried out a two day workshop addressed to the database administrators, reporters, researchers and data typist, focused Market Information Organization of the Americas (MIOA).  MIOA is a network of technical cooperation that promotes and facilitates access and transparency of the agricultural markets of the 33 countries that comprise it, through the flow of experiences, knowledge, information and services geared towards improving the capacity, quality and transparency of the services of the Agriculture Market Information System (SIMA).

Mr. Alfonso Bautista, Policy & Private Interface Unit, Mr. Gregorio Canto, Policy Unit & Statistical Analyst and Ms. Catherine Hob, communication officer, and eight other data collectors from the Ministry of Agriculture were present for the training.  Technical Specialist, Mr. Willie Chan from IICA Belize, also participated on the MIOA database training.  Ms. Helena Ramirez, MIOA program coordinator and IICAs market information specialist from Costa Rica, carried out the database training.
