    The new exhibit was inaugurated at the Interpretive Center for Tomorrow’s Agriculture (CIMAG) at IICA Headquarters in Costa Rica – a public space that highlights the ways in which digital technologies are transforming agriculture in the hemisphere.
  • All participants selected for this first edition of the diploma course will receive a full scholarship.

    Technological University of Pereira, UNESCO Chairs and IICA will deliver an International Diploma Course on Applied Bioeconomy in the Coffee Value Chain

    The course will be geared towards producers, entrepreneurs and students from Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.
  • The ministers of Agriculture of the Americas agreed, on closing the IICA Executive Committee meeting, that overcoming the food and climate crisis will hinge on effective collective action

    The ministers all highlighted IICA’s actions to build bridges between countries and regions and between these areas and the private sector, academia and civil society organizations. They also felt that in this time of increased food insecurity and a growing climate crisis, it is essential that the Institute expand its efforts to disseminate best practices and experiences that will facilitate the creation of a knowledge intensive agriculture sector that also serves a social purpose.

    Costa Rican Tourism Institute and IICA will implement actions aimed at increasing the benefits of tourism activities for businesses in Costa Rica

    The agreement was signed by the Costa Rican Minister of Tourism, William Rodriguez, and the Director General of IICA, Manuel Otero, during the meeting of the Executive Committee of the international organization, in San Jose.
  • IICA and CATIE reaffirm their partnership to drive research, leadership development, and the enhancement of tropical agriculture in the Americas 

    CATIE’s 50th anniversary commemoration ceremony was held during a meeting of the IICA Executive Committee, in the presence of ministers of Agriculture and other senior agriculture sector officials of the region.
