Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, September 2017 (IICA). As of August 24, 2017, Ms. Gina Rosario Diaz was hired as Specialist in Natural Resources, Agriculture and Climate Change at the IICA Dominican Republic Representation. Ms. Rosario Diaz is a lawyer and has master’s degrees in International Relations and Environmental Law and Natural Resources. She has academic training in diplomacy and multilateral environmental treaties, climate change, disaster risk management, water and environment, among others.
Ms. Rosario will be coordinating actions and supporting capacity building on agriculture, climate change and natural resources issues in the Dominican Republic, with the public and private institutions involved in these areas in the country.
Ms. Rosario Diaz expressed her enthusiasm in joining the IICA family and hopes that her knowledge and experience will be of benefit to continue to promote agricultural development and rural well-being in the Dominican Republic and other Member States.
