IICA Delegation in Belize participates in the National Agriculture and Trade Show 2018

The National Agriculture and Trade Show is an annual event where the importance of agriculture and its contribution to the Belizean economy and to food security is highlighted.  This year under the theme “Let’s get growing”, the Delegation highlighted the on-going project activities in collaboration with the Banana Growers Association and the University of Belize, as well as the modalities of cooperation.  As part of the visibility actions under the PAGoDA Contract BAN/2017/390-022-“Productivity enhancement of banana farms through integrated soil fertility management in the banana belt area of Belize”, a small inauguration ceremony for the display booth was held in presence of the European Union Ambassador to Belize.
