The Network aims to galvanize the digitalization of agriculture and promote the development of AgTech ventures that develop digital solutions.

San José, 10 March 2025 (IICA). The AgTech Accelerator Program, designed by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and Endeavor, got under way with a virtual event involving 20 AgTech entrepreneurs from the Americas.

The program offers intensive training with world-class mentors who hold positions of leadership within the region’s leading technology companies and most highly regarded AgTechs.

The aim is for participants to obtain practical and strategic tools to structure their companies and define a clear plan for sustainable growth.

The program is being promoted within the framework of IICA’s AgTechs of the Americas Network, which has become established following successive editions of Digital Agriculture Week. According to the agreement signed by the more than 30 leading AgTechs involved, the Network’s objective is to galvanize the digitalization of agriculture and promote the development of AgTech ventures that develop digital solutions.

The participating AgTechs responded to a call for proposals launched at the beginning of February, and were carefully selected based on the innovativeness of their proposals and their scaling potential.

Other factors taken into account were how established the enterprises are, and the existence of the elements required to accelerate their expansion. The enterprises selected to take part in the program were chosen by a jury made up of the Endeavor Argentina team, IICA’s Digitalization Program, and two representatives of the AgTech Network.

The program will feature six classes focused on core topics for scaling startups and three roundtables with the mentors to discuss topics proposed by the entrepreneurs. Each AgTech will also have a personalized session with the Endeavor team and a mentor. Furthermore, the program will help consolidate the AgTech network in the Americas and connect it with the Endeavor community, the most important network of entrepreneurs in the world.

With this effort, IICA aims to enlist the support of entrepreneurs and spark the creation of more and better digital solutions for farmers and the scaling of high-potential AgTech companies, which can have a major economic and social impact within their communities of origin and beyond.
