IICA Supports Indigenous Maroon Communities in Emergency Food Security Response Efforts due to Devastating floods in Suriname

The Indigenous Maroon Governing Council and Maroon communities in the Upper Suriname River basin benefited from emergency support from IICA’s Director General to rehabilitate agricultural production in direct response to damages to their agricultural farms due to massive flooding occasioned by unusually high seasonal rainfall.
