About the Project

The AgriMSE Business Development and Regional Market Integration Project is designed to strengthen micro and small agribusiness enterprises through targeted support in operations, financing and investment readiness, and regional market development.

The project’s direct support activities are focused on five (5) participating countries:

Antigua and Barbuda | Dominica | Grenada | Saint Lucia | Trinidad and Tobago

The Regional AgriMSE Survey is a key part of this process. The main objectives are:

  • To gather baseline information on enterprises.
  • To support the development of a Regional AgriMSE database.
  • To help inform consideration for project support activities within the participating countries.

The Project is split into three (3) Consultancy Streams:

  1. Strengthening AgriMSE Business and Production Operational Efficiencies
  2. Support to improve business operations, production systems, food safety and quality management, compliance, and digital readiness.
  3. Strengthening AgriMSEs Access to Financing and Investment
  4. Support to strengthen financial management, investment readiness, and the information needed to better engage financiers and investors.
  1. Intra-Regional Marketing and Export Facilitation
  2. Support to improve market readiness, strengthen business linkages, and expand opportunities for intra-regional trade.

Why Participate?

The survey provides an opportunity to be represented in the Regional AgriMSE Database aimed at improving visibility for micro and small agribusinesses across CARICOM.

For enterprises within the participating countries, the information provided will also support consideration for relevant project activities.

Most importantly, it will contribute to a better understanding of the needs of AgriMSEs across the Region.

Who Should Participate?

The survey is open to micro and small agribusinesses across CARICOM.

While direct project support is focused on Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago; in this phase, the survey is also being used to capture information for the wider Regional AgriMSE Database.
