IICA meets with senior technicians of the Ministry of Agriculture to discuss new project initiatives for climate smart agriculture and research

On Monday October 2, 2017, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, met with Senior Technicians of the Ministry of Agriculture to discuss new project initiatives for climate smart agriculture and research.  Dr. Marques, IICA representative, presented a project proposal outline in which broad topics were discussed with the senior technicians and a consensus was reached to focus on two key areas of importance for the agricultural sector.  IICA in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture agreed to draft a project concept including innovation, research and best practices to be used to address the issues related to climate change, agro processing and technical services.
