Apart from the opportunity for direct sales, both partners supported were able to further advertise their products by offering business cards and information on the produces.

During this year IICA has participated in three (3) events of this nature, these being in Regions 3, 5 and 6. These activities sought to promote the development of village economies.  Participants represented businesses, crops and livestock farmers, agro-processors, art and craft producers including metalwork and furniture manufacturers and other entrepreneurs whose products reflected the economic diversity of the Essequibo Islands/West Demerara, Mahaica/Berbice Region and East Berbice/Corentyne.

IICA continues to proudly support the work of the Guyana Apiculture Society and the Women Agro-Processors’ Development Network by providing opportunities for their presence at these exhibitions as part of a market linkage strategy for the support to farmers and agro-processors while providing another event to increase visibility of the Institution.
