Visit of the Minister of Agriculture, Ing. Angel Estévez and Ing. Frank Lam, IICA Representative in the Dominican Republic to IICA HQ
On May 18th, the Minister of Agriculture of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Ángel Estévez visited IICA’s HQ in Costa Rica in the company of Mr. Frank Lam, IICA Representative in the Dominican Republic. During the visit, the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Ángel Estévez, had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Víctor Villalobos, IICA Director General in order to strengthen the cooperation agenda in the Dominican Republic.
In that sense, Mr. Diego Montenegro, Director of Management and Regional Integration of IICA made a presentation on the IICA Medium-Term Plan. In the same way, Mr. Salvador Fernández, Director of Technical Cooperation gave a presentation in which he explained the instruments used by the Technical Cooperation.
The main objective of this meeting was to strengthen ties between the Dominican Republic and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary of its presence in DR next year.
