San Jose, 28 June 2022 (IICA) – In keeping with its ongoing commitment to strengthen integrated communication in relation to the agricultural and rural agenda, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) is launching a new venture.

To add to its increasing presence on various social media platforms, as of this month, the Institute will disseminate specific content, exclusively for Spotify, through “IICA en Acción” – a podcast featuring information, analysis, commentary and opinions from leading voices in the rural sector.

In recent years, the podcast medium has taken on an identity of its own, enjoying notable growth and expansion.

With this in mind, IICA is spearheading this journalistic and informational project, with a youthful, flexible and versatile format that offers the ability to tell stories, discuss challenges and achievements in the agrifood industry and rural life in general, as well as highlight IICA’s extensive activities in areas that are of interest to and affect not only production, but also innovation, knowledge creation, sustainable development and cooperation.

IICA en Acción” is a forum that offers additional content and facilitates effective communication, while targeting new and diverse audiences that deserve and need to be informed about trends, actions and projects related to production, agrifood systems, supply chains and consumers that are committed to creating a competitive, inclusive and sustainable sector.

Each chapter of the podcast, which runs for approximately 15 minutes, will explore topics and information in a new and dynamic way, featuring diverse voices and actions that are relevant to agricultural activity and rural life.
