The objective of the Regional Validation Workshop on Model AHFS Bills is to review and build consensus on Plant Health, Animal Health and Food Safety Model Legislation in the CARIFORUM Region. Consensus within the CARIFORUM Region on harmonized legislation for improved regional and international trade is expected to result at the close of the workshop.

The Workshop is one component of the Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS) Project, which is funded by the European Union under the 10th European Development Fund (EDF) to support to the Caribbean Forum of ACP States in the Implementation of Commitments Undertaken Under the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). The project is being implemented by IICA.
