IICA Delegation the Dominican Republic presents 2015 Results of the Technical Cooperation

In a significant but humble meeting, the IICA Delegation in the Dominican Republic presented the Accountability Event to present the 2015 results of the technical cooperation agenda on Wednesday June 22nd 2016,  according to the provisions IICA regulations for the delegations in all the member countries.

All the outcomes and activities implemented last year were presented by Mr. Frank Lam, IICA Representative in the Dominican Republic to the authorities of the Ministry of Agriculture and other public and private institutions of the agricultural sector.

In a significant but humble meeting, the IICA Delegation in the Dominican Republic presented the Accountability Event to present the 2015 results of the technical cooperation agenda on Wednesday June 22nd 2016,  according to the provisions IICA regulations for the delegations in all the member countries.

All the outcomes and activities implemented last year were presented by Mr. Frank Lam, IICA Representative in the Dominican Republic to the authorities of the Ministry of Agriculture and other public and private institutions of the agricultural sector.

Mr. Lam linked each of the activities carried out by IICA in Dominican Republic to the  eleven main contributions that the Institute has committed in its Medium Term Plan (MTP) 2014-2018; also corresponding with the IICA mission to encourage and support the efforts of the Member States to achieve their agricultural development and rural wellbeing through international technical cooperation of excellence.

Achieving a competitive, inclusive and sustainable agriculture to feed the hemisphere and the world, and that in turn generates opportunities to reduce hunger and poverty in the producers and inhabitants of rural areas is the vision that IICA in each of the actions undertaken in the 34 Member States where IICA is represented. In this regard and with great pleasure manifested Dr. Winston Marte, Vice Minister for Agricultural Planning, who was responsible for the words of onset of activity on behalf of Mr. Angel Estevez, Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Mustapha acknowledged Ibrahim’s experience in agricultural development, international cooperation and public policy and considered that “his proven ability to integrate science, policy and practical action represents the kind of leadership demanded by today’s complex agricultural and food security landscape”.
