Do you know that the World Trade Organization (WTO) Reference Center at IICA has been in operation since 2012?

The purpose of the Center is to contribute to increasing the participation of government, academic and business stakeholders in the international agricultural trade system, so that they take greater advantage of its benefits. The Center provides free services geared toward enhancing knowledge and capabilities in trade agreements, the WTO, regional integration mechanisms, and other related topics such as the environment, institutional frameworks, information tools and food safety. The Center has offered technical consultancy services, training sessions and newsletters on a number of topics, including agricultural trade policy.

The WTO-IICA Reference Center is a regional center that provides services to IICA’s 34 Member States. It is open to individuals from the government, business, and academic sectors, and to members of the public. This center operates out of the Venezuela Library, located at IICA Headquarters, in San Jose, Costa Rica.
