Banana Accompanying Measures (BAM) Grant agreement with the European Union

On November 9, 2017, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture and the European Union signed a direct grant agreement of €2,023,197.00 for the execution of the project “Productivity Enhancement of Banana farms through integrated soil fertility management in the banana belt area of Belize”.  IICA presented the project in 9th EU-BAM Project Steering Committee meeting held on November 29, 2017 at the MED conference room in which results of BAM activities financed by the European Union were presented.  Representatives from the European Union, members from the Banana Growers Association, Technical Vocational Educational & Training, Public Health, Belize Electricity Limited, Ministry of Works, Economic Development and Ministry of Agriculture were present.  IICA technical specialists and EU representatives further discussed the project on a follow up meeting held at IICA conference room on November 30, 2017.
