    On September 18th 2018, the Head of Delegation of the European Union to Jamaica, Belize, Turks and Caicos Islands, Bahamas and the Cayman Island Her Excellency Ambassador Malgorzata Wasilewska visited the newly renovated. University of Belize Central Farm Campus (UBCF), Micro Propagation Laboratory.

  • Collaborators Roundtable Discussion

    The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, the Environment and Sustainable Development (MAFFESD) organized and chaired a collaborators roundtable that had the participation of representatives from various regional and international organizations.

  • Farmers' Forum under the theme - opportunities for linking agriculture to tourism

    The IICA delegation formed part of local organizing committee for the recent Caribbean Food Crops Society meeting that was held in Belize City from 8th to 13th July.  The event was well attended with over 50 technical presentations, from speakers around the Caribbean, on their research to improve crop production, control pests, or mitigate against climate change. 

  • The Caribbean Community Climate Change Center (CCCCC) and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), sign a General Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

    The Caribbean Community Climate Change Center (CCCCC), represented by Dr. Kenrick Leslie, (PhD), Executive Director, and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture(IICA),  represented by Manuel Otero Justo, Director General have agreed to sign a General Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
