    Costa Rican Tourism Institute and IICA will implement actions aimed at increasing the benefits of tourism activities for businesses in Costa Rica

    The agreement was signed by the Costa Rican Minister of Tourism, William Rodriguez, and the Director General of IICA, Manuel Otero, during the meeting of the Executive Committee of the international organization, in San Jose.

    The Initiative is based on four pillars: water production and storage, through the recovery of degraded soils and other measures; technological innovation; governance and investment.

    The IICA Executive Committee, agriculture ministers and senior officials of the Americas highlight partnership, as a means of guaranteeing food and water security, and a strong and sustainable agriculture sector

    During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the actions that are currently underway and those required to tackle multiple crises that have a strong impact on agriculture in the region and, in turn, on global food, nutritional and environmental security.
