  • The pavilion operated by IICA and its partners at COP29 will host more than 50 presentations on the relationship between agriculture and climate, with a focus on the role of science and innovation

    IICA will have a pavilion at the most important global forum for negotiations and discussions on climate change for the third consecutive time, having previously operated one at COP27 in Egypt in 2022, and COP28 in the United Arab Emirates.

  • New Inter-American Chair on Innovations in Tropical Agriculture and Agrifood Systems to be named after Dr. Manuel Otero, as a tribute from CATIE to IICA Director General

    The act of recognition of Manuel Otero took place during the graduation ceremony of CATIE’s Master’s Program, honoring his career of over 35 years dedicated to promoting and developing tropical and temperate agriculture in the Americas.
