    Los embajadores y embajadoras, encargados de negocios y ministros consejeros del Grupo de países de América Latina y el Caribe (GRULAC), Estados Unidos, Canadá y España se reunieron con el Director General del IICA y apoyaron la iniciativa del IICA de conformar una alianza continental para la seguridad alimentaria y el desarrollo sostenible, apoyada en la condición de la región como mayor productora global de alimentos y potencia de la biodiversidad.

    Already existing farmer organizations in various regions of the Americas could provide a starting point for a hemispheric network, bearing in mind the challenges and opportunities that are common to all.
