    A visionary, kind man who saw people for more than just their job titles. That is how engineer Gertjan Berndt Beekman, one of the world’s leading experts in water resources management, will be remembered by his friends and colleagues at the Delegation of the IICA in Brasilia, the city where he passed away at the age of 74 and where he was involved in important, innovative projects from 1995 to 2022.

  • Corn ethanol represents a huge opportunity for Argentina, due to the low carbon footprint of its production process

    The Congress included “Ethanol Day,” reserved for a discussion of a new biofuels agenda for Argentina. Among those taking part were the IICA and the Pan-American Liquid Biofuels Coalition (CPBIO), made up of the main business and industrial associations of the Americas dedicated to the production and processing of sugar, alcohol, corn, sorghum, soybean, vegetable oil, grains, and other agricultural products.
