Delegation in Uruguay

The course "Climate Change and Green Recovery for Rural Women," was presented in Montevideo during Expo Prado, Uruguay's largest annual agricultural fair, and will have four editions. The training content was jointly developed by the Ministry and IICA.

Executive Director, Daniel Bayce Muñoz, stressed that this was the first time that INASE had made an international seed donation.

The 2023 Conference of Ministers of Agriculture of the Americas will provide a space for the exchange of experiences and dialogue to spotlight the role of regional agriculture as a guarantor of global food and nutrition security and sustainability. 

Taro, also known as malanga in some Latin American countries, has been key lately to diversify the agriculture of this island country.

The main goal of the debates is to forge alliances in the fight against hunger and malnutrition. The event is attended by government officials, private sector representatives, international organizations, agricultural producers, academics, scientists, educators and students.
